Fused Glass Poppy and Daffodil Heart - 14 x 12 cm

Fused glass heart with meadow of poppies and daffodils.

Looks great with the sun shining through.

This heart started with a sheet of clear glass which was then sprinked with a base coat of powdered glass. This is topped with crushed glass (frit) and glass murrine cane. The piece is then fired in the kiln on a contour fuse which leaves a raised tactile surface.

This would make a great housewarming gift or anniversary present.

I aim to use recycled packaging where possible. Each item is wrapped in tissue paper and then package in a box surrounded by reused chips.
